In a battle of the defenses, the Tigers beat the Wolves 8-7. The Wolves returned most of their team that had defeated the Tigers in 76. This victory all but wrapped up the District crown for the Tigers. Jack Carona hit Mark Baham in the corner of the end zone for the deciding two point conversion. Again it was Jeff Alessi, Mark Rainey, Willie Blount, and Ray Henderson that produced outstanding defensive performances.

This was a battle between the top two teams in Class 3A. The Tigers came in ranked # 1 and defeated the second ranked Warriors in front of a crowd of more than 3000 people. Amite had the ball at the end of the game and Rex Guzzardo sacked Amite QB Rod Deamer to seal the victory. It was the first Tiger Victory over the Warriors in 7 years.

In one of the most exciting fourth quarters in the rivalrys history the Tigers held on for a 21-13 win. This game was back and fourth the whole game with Shawn Tanner falling on a Amite fumble to seal the Tiger victory. This win gave the Tigers their fourth straight District title, along with their fourth straight victory over the Warriors.
